The journey to Sobibor death camp, Eastern Poland, on its border with Ukraine.
The estimated 750,000 people murdered here were mainly transported by train, although Jews imprisoned in nearby ghettos, eg Wlodawa or Lublin, were chased, running, for miles to trucks that brought them by road.
Most of the people murdered here had no idea of the fate that awaited them at this destination.
Nor did they know to where they were travelling.
